Through the study of more than 2200 natural extracts
Our founders created LYMPHACTIVE™—our proprietary complex—guided by lymphatic science research that uncovered how the skin’s lymphatic system, when functioning at its best, supports healthy-looking skin—and how imbalances can affect its appearance.
As pioneers in lymphatic dermatology, Professor Dr. Michael Detmar, MD. and Dr. Epameinondas Gousopoulos, MD-PhD. have been instrumental in developing treatments for conditions ranging from lymphedema to wound healing.
Amongst their world-first discoveries was the role played by age and external factors including stress, inflammation and UV light in the degradation of the lymphatic system. The resulting vessel leakage and water retention all hinder its crucial drainage function, and lead to the build-up of toxins.
A breakthrough discovery: The LYMPHACTIVE™ Complex
By combining 5 botanical extracts, we developed the LYMPHACTIVE™ Complex. In an in vitro study, it showed an increase of over +250% in markers associated with lymphatic function.
The lymphatic vessels form a network of tiny channels that collect excess fluid from the tissues and carry it toward lymph nodes, where it is filtered, before returning it to circulation. When this flow is running smoothly, skin tends to look fresher and more balanced. When it slows—whether with age or during periods of stress and inflammation—skin can look puffier, duller, drier, and less even, with a more tired-looking appearance.
